National Teen Driver Safety Week - October 19-25, 2014

Did you know, the first year of driving for a teen will be their most dangerous year of driving, according to the NHTSA? This proves we need to take our younger drivers seriously and make sure every precaution is being taken to ensure their safety. We can start by education and also making sure our drivers are in high quality vehicles.

"You've been protecting your kids their whole lives. So don't just hand them the keys to a two-ton machine with no rules... Talk it out. Tell your teenagers they have to agree to 5 rules to drive:
  1. no cell phones,
  2. no extra passengers,
  3. no speeding,
  4. no alcohol, and
  5. buckle-up.
Set the rules before they hit the road."

"We've made huge investments to make our vehicles the safest on the road. So it's exciting to be recognized for outstanding safety by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. In 2014, two all-new Hyundai models, the Genesis and Sonata, were awarded the Top Safety Pick+ honor.* To earn their Top Safety Pick+ awards, our vehicles had to excel in the moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraint tests, as well as a the small overlap front test. Plus, earn a basic, advanced or superior rating for front crash prevention."
